Drawing Maps

Alexander the Great changed the course of history. As one of the world's greatest military generals, he created a vast empire that stretched from Macedonia to Egypt and from Greece to part of India. His conquests included Anatolia, Syria, Phoenicia, Judea, Gaza, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia and Bactria, and he extended the boundaries of his own empire as far as Taxila, India (Pakistan).

It was said of Alexander the Great that as he marched forward in his conquest, he took the map that he was given and began his campaign of dominance. After some time, he went as far as his map could take him. History records that when he reached the end of what was “known”, he was faced with a dilemma. Should he stop and turn around, or continue on his conquest? History tells us that he threw his worthless map aside and began to draw his own map. He didn’t allow the unknown to sway him. He just continued to march forward and with each step, he drew a new map.

In many ways, that is the dilemma that we are facing today. We don’t have a blueprint or a roadmap to guide us through this present crisis. It is time that we, like Alexander the Great, start drawing our own map.

You are going to need to lead your followers with confidence, certainty and security. They are looking to you for leadership and safety. I suggest that we accept this responsibility with gladness, lead with integrity and start drawing the map. That is why I suggest that you develop a plan of action for church systems that will help now and in the future. You need a plan for:

1.Personal Ministerial Health

2.Facility Readiness

3.Multiple Financial Streams

4.Community and Connectivity

5.Virtual Ministry Presence & Schedule

The church was made for moments like this. We are poised and positioned to make this our finest hour. Be bold and courageous and don’t allow fear the opportunity to detour you from the task at hand. We will overcome! We will conquer! We will succeed! We will be victorious!
